Me with the wall of Possession at S&S. Totally surreal. |
I love the city. I mean, absolutely, 100% love it. If you could travel anywhere, where would you go?
Congratulations, can't wait to read Possession! These pics are like my dreams - insert my own face (and my mom's) and I can pretend I've made it too! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! Wow, what a time!!!!
ReplyDeleteMe, where would I like to travel?Heaven...but I'm not rushing to get there just yet.
How awesome to stand with all your books. Can't wait to see more pix. I'd love to go France among many places.
ReplyDeleteCongrats! Sounds like you had an awesome time. Can't wait to hear more.
ReplyDeleteYAYAYAY! So glad you got to enjoy the city! And wow a wall of Elana--so surreal! Also might I say, I love your stylish scarves! :D
ReplyDeleteThere's tons of places, like Scandinivia (though I have been to Finland and Sweden quite a few times. Okay, I've lived in Finland, so that's partially explains that.)
ReplyDeleteWhen it comes to the US, NYC no question. Not that I've seen much of it. I keep going there for conferences. :D
It looks like you had a fabulous trip! I love to visit NYC. If I could go anywhere, though, I'd have to choose a beach.
ReplyDeleteYAY! Sounds (and looks) like a great trip!
ReplyDeletePics o'awesome!!! So fun!!! Me, I want to go to Scotland and Ireland...and a few tropical islands :D
ReplyDeleteHow fun! I've been on a short trip to NYC- I still need to catch a show, but it was a beautiful city and the cop didn't even ticket us for turning right on red;)
ReplyDeleteIf you ever have the chance, visit Barcelona. I haven't been anywhere else in Europe, but hubby had a work trip there, and we had a few days to wander around- so beautiful and the seafood (baby octupi in ink sauce, anyone?) was great.
Love the pics! Looks like you were having fun. My anyplace would be Ireland, but New York would be a close second.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.wingedwriter.blogspot.com/
Congrats. It looks like you've had a fantastic time, it looked like fun. My any place would be Japan. Always wanted to go and still want to go.
ReplyDeleteOoh, I love the misty picture. Very cool.
ReplyDeleteLove to see you living the great adventure so many writers dream of! Congrats and can't wait until June for some great reading!
ReplyDeleteAs for me, after a long (and stupid) winter, I'd head for Santa Fe in a heartbeat. I've never been anywhere where the skies were more beautiful. :)
I love, love, love this!!! So wonderful that you got to visit such an amazing city!
ReplyDeleteI would love to visit New York and it would be even more special if it was to say hello to my agent (which I hope to have soon) and my editor (another thing I'm looking to gain)!
How super fun!!! Hmm, if I could travel anywhere it would currently be The Bahamas... beach and sun.
I loved New York. What a great city.
ReplyDeleteI'm totally jealous of your wall of books. I can't wait to get my hands on one. =o)
Great pics! I'm glad you had such a great time in NYC!
ReplyDeleteIf I could go anywhere, it would probably be Versailles, France. I've always wanted to see the palace there.
Great photos!! If I could anywhere...hmmm...maybe Easter Island or The Galapagos.
ReplyDeleteI am SO happy for you!! New York looks like it was a blast!
ReplyDeleteI'd travel to Italy in a heartbeat. It's been a lifelong dream, so hopefully I'll make it come true someday :)
What an amazing experience! That picture of Central Park is beautiful--I love mist and fog too, and that's truly haunting.
ReplyDeleteIf I could go anywhere, I would be greatly torn between Italy and the UK.
I loved your pictures! What an awesome experience. Yay for New York.
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures! Looks like you had so much fun! What an incredible experience. And that wall of Possession---totally awesome!
ReplyDeleteI would go to the Cayman Islands. I've been a couple times, but love it.
I'm such a Spaz. I teared up for you. All it took was seeing you stand there by your book. I'd be in an all out sob fest. A happy one of course. Congrats. I'm counting down with you on my blog. Can't wait!
ReplyDeleteGreat photos! I kept wondering about you and how the trip was going for you.
ReplyDeleteHmmm...at the moment, I'd like to go back to bed. :)
What's that building that looks like a person?
ReplyDeleteLondon.
Great pics, Elana! I would LOVE to go to Ireland, but England is a close second. :-)
ReplyDeleteI love New York so much.
ReplyDeleteI have a long list of places I want to travel to, but mostly at the moment I want to go back to Dublin, London and Oxford where I have friends and places I miss dearly
Awesome, Elana! Love all of your pics. Especially the shelves full of your books! =D
ReplyDeleteCongrats Elana....
ReplyDeleteOH, how I miss NYC! There's no place like home...
Looks like a great trip! I love NYC, too... but I think I would choose somewhere foreign to visit. I'd love to take a trip through Europe and I'm always game for the Caribbean.
ReplyDeleteMust've been a fun trip with your cute mom!
ReplyDeleteNew York -- so magical, wiry, something always going on.
Fun! Love Central Park in the mist. I just visited NYC a couple of weeks ago for the first time and it was awesome. Though I think I'm more of a beach girl. My dream trip is Bora Bora!
ReplyDeleteI love that picture from Central Park in the mist.
ReplyDeleteI haven't been to NYC yet - I'm so envious!
I just finished Possession and RAVED about it on my blog, and I'm giving the ARC away to help with promotion. If you have time, I'd love to have you share a quote (or two) from you on my blog next week. What's your fav quote/motto? Or, what's the 5 most important things you've learned in writing/road to publication? Or, what are five things Vi would carry in her purse? (i'd love to see any of these answered on your blog!)
Welcome back!
ReplyDeleteCreepy mist picture. That would make some setting in a book.
I'm on my way to Manhattan to attend a seder tonight. Too bad I missed you!
I'm half-Irish and half-Italian. I've been to Ireland, so now I need to visit Italy!
Wow!! I would love to be able to go visit my publishing house!!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a great time. New York looks awesome, I'd love to go there, but right now since I still have snow on the ground Mexico is looking awfully tempting.
ReplyDeleteThat picture with you and your books--that must have been such a rush!
ReplyDeleteLook at you, girlee! Looking forward to hearing more.
ReplyDeleteAwesome pics, Elana! Thanks for sharing. How awesome to meet up with your editor. Glad you enjoyed your trip.
ReplyDeleteSo happy for you (and maybe a little bit jealous).
ReplyDeleteLoved your pics!
ReplyDeleteJust finished Possession...we need to talk. I think I might be mad.
If I could travel anywhere? Hawaii baby. Which is where I am right now! And where I read your book.
Wow!!! Congrats :) That is an awesome wall of "Possession".
ReplyDeleteLet's see. Right now? I'd really like to forget about the laundry and go to Starbucks...Do they have those in Switzerland? Lol.
Congrats again :)
So exciting. I love New York City too. My brother lived there for seven years while he went to college and made sure to visit as often as I could. Now he's left NYC and I miss it.
ReplyDeletePretty pictures!
ReplyDeleteI'd like to travel to Vancouver.
Scotland. There is no other choice for me.
ReplyDeleteI love the pic of Central Park with the mist!
Congrats! That wall of Possession is totally cool! Looks like you had a lot of fun. I loved NYC every time I've been. It's a happenin' place!
ReplyDeleteWow, congrats! And thanks for sharing your photos. I've never been to New York. Maybe someday. Love the mist pic too.
ReplyDeleteHaving lived in NY for years, I MISS IT!!!! Can not wait to go back
ReplyDeleteGreat pics! Looks like a great trip! Did you go out to the statue, or is that still closed? I live in NYC, and yet I know nothing.
ReplyDeleteOh, and I'm reading POSSESSION right now. *love* :)
Where wouldn't I go? (Okay, maybe the entirety of the Middle East.)
ReplyDeleteIreland (again), Scotland, Wales, London (again), all of England, Prague, Vienna, Switzerland, Paris, Spain, Fiji, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Rome, Venice, Florence, Athens, Cairo (in an ideal world), Thailand, India, Germany...
I'm a Sagittarius, I have wanderlust.
London or Scotland… perhaps Moscow, either one would work for me.
ReplyDeleteThx, and congrats on your book, I sure hope it does well.
The wall of Possession is awesome! :) I've been to NYC once and I'm dying to go back. Did the empire state bldg and the statue of liberty and central park, but didn't make it to The Met or a Broadway show...so, I'd love to go back for that. Looks like a great trip! Thanks for sharing the pics ~
ReplyDeleteOh, and to answer your question, I really, really want to travel to Ireland and Italy!
ReplyDeleteThat is so exciting! Glad you had a wonderful time.
ReplyDeleteThat Wall o' Possession is AMAZING :D. The smile on your face says it all!
ReplyDeleteCONGRATS!!!!
Looks like you had a fabulous time! New York is definitely on my list of places to see, but for some reason I REALLY want to go to Maine. Maybe it has something to do with wanting to stand on the hill where the sun first touches the United States every morning. How cool would that be? I mean, I could be the first thing the sun touched in the USA some day!
ReplyDeleteAnyway, congratulations. :) I'm looking forward to reading Possession soon!
My younger brother went to New York once. It seems like an exciting city to visit, but I don't think I'd ever want to live there. City folk scare me.
ReplyDeleteAwesome! I have yet to stop in NY--I always fly over it! Will be flying over it again this June on my way to London- yay! (=
ReplyDeleteSee you this Saturday at the Teen Author Boot Camp! Woot! We've had a good number register!
Thanks, all! The sunrise was AMAZING. See, in NY there's no mountains, so you actually see the sun coming up right as it's coming up! It's beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to visit the white cliffs of Dover. I will get there one day. And Stephanie, I'm a total Sagitarrius wanderlust person too! I love travelling.
Sounds like your trip was amazing! Look at that wall of books. Did you almost faint when you saw that?!?
ReplyDeleteJust found your blog via Margo Berendsen. Congrats on POSSESSION, I can't wait to read it. Loved your voice in the tidbits on Margo's blog. The misty picture was my fave.
ReplyDeleteThe shot of you with the wall of your books is my favorite. YAY! So glad you had a great time!
ReplyDeleteI'd go back to Venice again if I could; I love that it's pedestrianized, and I love the architecture, and I love the Italian language and Italian food. And if I could pick up Edinburgh and move it to someplace where the weather isn't gray and drizzly most of the time, I'd do that and live there. :-)
Love that picture of the mist! Definitely gives me story ideas....
ReplyDeleteI am dying to go to Europe. I haven't left the US yet.
Dude, that is such a loaded question for me. I kind of have it in my head that I intend to, like, travel the whole world or something. So. Working on that. Starting with all locations tropical. Tahiti anyone? (Haven't been there.)
ReplyDeleteAlso, wow about your awesome experience in NY! Love the pics. Can't wait to hear all about the trip. And yes, TOTALLY surreal about the Possession wall.
Fantastic pictures! All of it moving towards the culmination of a dream. So excited for you, Elana! That last one is just beautiful. I love seeing you with so many of your books.
ReplyDeleteWonderful, Elana! You've gotten so far in so little time! Such an inspiration. :)
ReplyDeleteNEW YORK!
ReplyDeleteAwesome experiences you're having!!!
Great pics! What a fabulous trip! Sooo exciting!
ReplyDeleteWhere would I go? Hmm...I want to see so many places. I'd love to explore England--I've never been. I'd also love to go to New York and Boston, though I have been to both places. I just love them!
