Introducing... Twins!

This is like when your in-laws come to the hospital to see your new baby. And you have no makeup on and that thin hospital gown? Not a whole lot of coverage there. But you're just so happy to see them and show off the new addition to your family!

Well, here's my new baby...

And it's twins!

Up first, the paperback cover of POSSESSION got a redesign. WITH COLOR. And a new (uber-fantastic) font. AND an extra line on the tagline!



And for twin #2, SURRENDER received a matching design, just in time for the hardcover release, which is coming on June 5, 2012.


You can preorder these books now!

Of course, you can always get the POSSESSION hardcover (or POSSESSION on Kindle), which is still available in all its shiny whiteness.

I'm almost afraid to ask... But what do you think of the new covers? You can see them side by side (with my short story INSIDER INFORMATION -- oh my heck! It needs a new cover too!) on my newly designed website.

    I saw them on another book blogger's blog already. Not sure who. I love your cover. I think the blue background of Possession makes the butterfly stand out more. Congrats! So excited for you.

    Love the font. While I liked the original cover when I read Possession I like the new cover even better. The frozen butterfly stands out better against the color. Love the hummingbird in the jar. Goes so well with the ice cube butterfly. The addition to your tagline adds another hook.

    I love the new look, although the white one stuck out more on the store bookshelves, which are filled with dark covers. It was like a neo light saying, "Buy me, Buy me". But these bright color will still grab everyone's attention.

    Very beautiful covers. I love them because they stand out from the rest of the usual YA covers I constantly see. (Now what color was the dress on that one book?) :)

    I personally prefer the white cover of Possession better. I just pops. Plus, it has that pearlescent sheen to it. :-)

    I really love them! I especially love that the font color on your name on Possession matches the background color on Surrender, and the font color on Surrender matches the background on Possession. I love the fading of the colors, too! They really look fabulous.

    The changes made to your book covers are not vast improvements. The original desgin of simplistic symbolism is wholly in tact so that's the most importante thing. I love that about your book covers.

    The the color grading is a soft tone, a positive move from the stark white.

    I love the new covers :-)

    I want the Surrender hardcover to match the original Possession hardcover. I won't be buying the hardcovers now. Sorry. I'll probably buy the Kindle versions where covers don't really matter. Just like with Andrea Cremer's books, I don't think hardcovers should be redesigned in the middle of the series. If there has to be a redesign, it should just be for the paperbacks. Not all of us have money to re-buy books when covers change so we can have matching covers.
