Dude, Like, I'm in California

Okay, so I'm on the road this week. I thought we were going to leave today, but we decided to go to Vegas so we didn't have to drive for twelve straight hours.

Plus, I love Las Vegas, so there's that too.

If you happen to find yourself near the San Diego area, I'd love to meet you at one of my events! I'll be at Mysterious Galaxy on Wednesday night at 7 PM. Then, on Thursday, I'll be at the Oceanside Barnes & Noble at 6 PM. Full addresses are available on my "Appearances" page.

Both events are with the lovely and amazing Jessi Kirby (MOONGLASS), Kirsten Hubbard (LIKE MANDARIN), and John Corey Whaley (WHERE THINGS COME BACK).

Because of this epicness, I won't be blogging this week. Hope you have a good one!

So, are you a big Vegas fan? Or California? Where do I need to eat and/or visit while I'm here?

  10. I've never been to Vegas. I know. I'm lame. But I hear it's a wild and crazy place that everyone should visit at least once. I like California. I'd skated a few marathons in that state. Nice...Long Beach was fun.

I'll stick to the desert for now. The nice fall weather is rolling in so it's beautiful here. Come on over, any time. :)

  11. People will tell you In'n'Out Burger, and if you like fast food burgers, that's the place. But if you want the best burgers in the world, find a place called Hodad's in San Diego. It'll be worth it.

  18. OMG, ok, if you're in vegas you HAVE to stop at Serendipity3 outside Caesar's Palace and get a fried oreo shake. I know, I know, its a heart attack in a glass, but get it to share and just have one bite. It is SOOOO WORTH IT!!

  19. Buffets in Vegas!

Don't know what the weather's like in San Diego, but it's been hot up near LA. If you must do one thing in California, it is eat at In-n-Out! :)

  35. I admit, I know very little about Vegas. Or about California. But I do know that there's supposedly a hotel that has a roller coaster inside. And you should definitely just eat while watching that. Because no matter how it ends, that'll be a good story.

  36. I read that The Heart Attack Grill just relocated to Las Vegas, Freemont St., I believe. Dr. Jon had to close the AZ location due to pressure from the community. Looks like a fun place to visit once in your life.

  37. Vegas is like real-time theatre of the absurd. I can't get enough of it. Plus, I'm addicted to the LORD OF THE RINGS slots.
