Tuesday Teaser

Okay, so this isn't really a book teaser. It's more of a chat teaser. See, I have a couple of upcoming chats I want you to know about.

1. Thursday, June 23 at 7 PM. This chat is all about query letters. How to write them, my thoughts on some previously submitted queries, and just general advice about literary agents and querying.

This chat is part of David Farland's Author Advisory Conference Call program. You can find out more here, including how to call in and be part of the chat! If you submitted your query letter, I'm thinking we'll have time to get to them all.

Also, you can always get my eBook, From the Query to the Call, for free on my website.

2. Wednesday, June 29 at 7 PM on the FallenArchAngel fansite. POSSESSION is one of their picks for Featured Fiction this month, and I'll be there to chat Wednesday night about the book, about writing, about whatever! So mark your calendars and come.

3. If you missed the live chat on UStream last week, you can click here to see it. That's one of the best things (and worst things) about the Internet. Once you say or do something, you can watch it over and over. And over.

And that's been my summer so far--planning these things and whatnot.

How is your summer shaping up so far? Hope to see you at one of the chats!

  1. That's awesome you're doing so many chats. Mine is busy. My daughter has to be at swim practice at 7:00 so we're getting up earlier. But it's getting us ready for high school. Off to write for a bit.

  4. These chats sound great. I love how much you give to the writing community. You've helped countless writers. That's freaking awesome.

Summer so far? Started a bit slow, but it's ramping up now with long bike rides on the weekends, much writing during the week, and preparing for my book release in September. :) Woot!

  6. Thank you so much for the link to your book From Query to the Call- it was SO helpful. I've been trying to clean up my query for a while but was stuck on where to go, but your guide has helped with a break through and I'm ready to do it again! And I can't wait to read Possession!

  7. Sounds super busy with all the chats! My big 'shaping' of the summer is getting up on time so I can get writing/blogging done. It's gone well so far! It's only been two days, but it's going well!

  8. I do like the fact that I can listen to chats that I miss since I live in a time zone on the far edge of cyber-town. :-)

  9. Is the chat the one I submitted a query for on the other blog? I wish I'd waited. I just tweaked it, to make it (in my opinion) a little better.

My summer doesn't officially begin until Friday. I plan to edit like crazy!

  12. That Thursday chat sounds great, but I'm taking the kids to the hometown rodeo that night! I'll have to check out the other chats, instead.

My summer has been busy busy busy. Unfortunately, that's busy busy busy with kids and relatives, rather than busy busy busy with writing. But I'm trying to change that! Wish me luck.

  14. The Ustream chat was fun! :)

We've still got another week and a half before summer starts, but I'm hoping to just breathe for a day or two before the summer fun starts!

  16. Hi there!
I just wanted to say thank you for taking the time to critique my query (DARK ALLIE). I just returned from vacation and I haven't gotten the chance to listen to the conference call yet, but I looked over the critique (from Robin) and I found your suggestions very helpful (and spot on!).

I'm looking forward to listening to the call! Thanks again for this opportunity!!
