Friday Five

Okay, so it's been an amazing launch week. For more information on that, you can check out my post on the League blog today.

I'm going for short here, because really, I'm out of brain cells.

1. Eating out every day is not as fun as it sounds. I know, shocking. But still. I'm ready to eat in.

2. This picture from my launch party:

Top: Danyelle Leafty, Christine Fonesca, me, Jenn Johannson, Ali Cross, Windy Aphayrath
Bottom: L.T. Elliot, Carolyn Vawdry, Nichole Giles

3. So You Think You Can Dance = you should be watching. I love this show. I'm so glad it's summer so I can watch it.

4. Another great thing about summer. Sleeping in. And tennis. And doing whatever I want. School is out baby! I love teaching, but I love not teaching too.

5. Mark your calendars for...

Virtual Launch Party

Online at: Inside the Resistance, the official POSSESSION fansite.
**You guys, the prizes for this are AWESOME. Please come! I'll be doing 4 giveaways during the day, opening the party with a vlogged speech, a forum for any writing and/or POSSESSION-related questions, and a livestreamed chat that night at 7 PM Mountain time.

Come armed with questions, comments, and your smiling personalities! I'll be blogging more about this next week, but you can go to the fansite and get all signed up for the forums so you're ready.

I've been terribly absent from the blogosphere this week. What are the five highlights of your week?

Congrats, Elana, on your great first week. Awesome photo. I recognized everyone in the first row.

My 11 yo son and I are a huge fan of SYTYCD Canada (it's even better than the US version), which starts again soon. The show inspired him to take up ballroom dancing. :D

Eating out is a small price to pay for an epic launch week!

I can eat out maybe once and then I'm sick of it. :) Great pictures. What a thrilling week for you - and exhausting!

I got tears in my eyes while looking at the picture. I'm truly happy for you. Your smile in that photo gave me a faint glance into what my smile will look like when I'm there. Thank you. :) I just need to keep plugging along.

um, I think you have a great reason for not being around the blogosphere of late...just saying! Enjoy the rest.

You guys look SOOOOO Happy! I am so thrilled you had a great week Elana!

I AM SOOOOOOO into SO you think you can dance! I've watched it since season two! Now this is the most awesome season yet. Eight has some of the MOST AMAZING dancers I have ever seen. Who is your fav? I don't know the top twenty well enough to decide just yet.

Oh, I wish I was in Utah to drop by. I am there in spirt though.

I will definitely be at the Virtual Launch Party and the live chat.... See you then.

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND ELANA! Keep that smile shining it looks awesome.

Elana - I'm so happy I had the opportunity to come to your launch party. It was great to finally meet you in person! All the love and support you had there - SOOO amazing! That's just the cutest picture with your friends ~ :)

And I LOVE SYTYCD!!! I've watched it religiously since Season 1!! I agree with Michael - this year's top 20 are just amazing. I hope that cutie tap-dancer sticks around for awhile ~ ;)

It's so cool to see people from the blogasphere all in one place. I'm sure we all wish we could have been there and SYTYCD is awesome.

Congrats! I always get so jealous when I see pictures from a launch party for an awesome book I couldn't go to! I hope you had a blast.

I will sooo be at the virtual launch party.

And I'm going to be at Barnes and Noble tomorrow too!!! Only in Houston...and not signing anything...just buying your book!!!!! Actually picking up my reserved copy. Then I will be at home reading it and completely ignoring everyone.

Wow! What a week to remember! Sounds like it's been a roller coaster of non-stop fun! Wish I was close enough to join the fun in person.

So jealous of your summer. I want to be off work for a few weeks!

That's a great picture. Must have been a fun night. What a rush for you.

I love the pic and recognize quite a few faces! It must have been so fun!!!

Congrats again! Am totally looking forward to the virtual launch!

I imagine you're wiped out from all the excitement. You must be running on adrenalin. The virtual launch sounds great. Cheers!

What have I done this week? Joined Twitter, am learning TweetDeck, helping care for a 3 week old choc. lab puppy that my daughter brought home. Some scumbag abandoned the pup in a parking lot. And I've been missing So You Think You Can Dance, my favorite show, so thanks for the heads up.

Bethany Elizabeth said...

Congratulations SO MUCH on your launch week. It's been so cool to see POSSESSION running around the blogosphere. :D

L.T. Elliot said...

Your launch was the best launch I've ever been to. Not to be unfair to anyone else or anything. It was just really moving, funny, fun, and filled with happy. I am so proud of what you've done. I couldn't be happier for you!

Looks like you had a great time at your launch party! I love summer, too, but it means a houseful of kids now! Can you hear the screaming voices of little girls there? :)

Tricia J. O'Brien said...

Just want to add my congrats! and woo-hoos! and go-girl! to all the other voices. You deserve this epic week.

Jemi Fraser said...

I love So You Think You Can Dance too! Such a fun show!

Congrats again on a great week!

Congrats! The picture from the launch party is wonderful. Good luck in all your endeavors! I hope to follow in your footsteps.

Nichole Giles said...

Yay for all those things. I don't blame you about not wanting to eat out anymore. It does get old fast.

And one more yay for summer!! Summer!! Summer!!

Janet Johnson said...

Congrats for everything! So jealous your summer has started. Not quite there yet in VA.

And I agree about eating out. ;)

Caroline Starr Rose said...

Hey you,
I'm almost finished with your book and can "hear" your fun voice shining through. Hold on tight, girl, because you're going far!

Len Lambert said...

A McDonald's dinner tonight is my highlight of the week because I haven't had it for quite awhile! :) Have a nice weekend! :)

Joy D. Fanning said...

First, Congrats! I work at a bookstore and it was so cool to see your book on the shelf! I will always try to make sure it is facing out for you! :D
