Your Life - 4 Sentences or Less

Go!

That's right. It's back to school time. So I want some concise getting-to-know you/creative writing time.

Topic: You
Length: 4 sentences

Here's mine: I would go into the wicked witch's house if it were made of red vines and caramel twix's, death be damned. I don't think there is a situation on earth that doesn't call for laughter. Fiercely loyal and too trusting are two of my personality flaws. When I'm home with my family--well, that's heaven to me.

Your turn!

Go go go!

What is it with making me think early in the day? It's really not fair, ya know!

I love to sit out on the patio early in the morning, coffee in hand, and listen/watch the birds and rabbits at play. I think everyone should have a dog or cat as a companion - unconditional love, no questions asked. I love to lose myself in a good book. I love, love, love 'Anne of Green Gables'.

I'd join you at the wicked witch's house if I heard she was serving up cheese fries from Steak and Shake. If I'm not writing/reading, I'm singing (or telling my children to stop fighting so I can hear the music or concentrate on my reading/writing)I love gnomes because they make me feel big and powerful.

I wander this strange world, head spinning, lips chapped, and think nothing is better than sand between your toes. I spend hours cheering on imaginary people. Animals are innocent, true to their instincts, and run at big, scary noises; we could learn from them. Green tea is my daily morning companion.

Traveling around the world is both adventurous and aggravating. I passionately dislike those moments in life that keep me away from my husband and kids so it's a good thing they are few. I really hate washing and dryer clothes, but I find folding and putting them away to be very relaxing. If curiosity is a personality flaw, it's my number otherwise feeling entitled to things would be.

My dream is to live on a mountain in a house my husband and I design, complete with library and secret passageways. I want to be able to do a chin up one day just to prove my old gym teachers wrong, but am geek through and through. I'm emotional when it comes to real human suffering, but love sick, dark humor. I just want a Hugo--is that so wrong?

"Don't make me come up there!"

Yeah, that pretty much sums it up....for today anyway!

Love your blog!

I can't function without three or four cups of coffee. I never go to bed before midnight (this might explain the need for the coffee). I'd rather be home than anywhere else. Humor can be found in any situation. (I know I stole that last one from you, but it's true!)

Lately, my life has been full of disappointments, but I've finally come through with a happy disposition. My sister is my best friend and I don't know what I would do without her. Two of my favorite things to be around are children and animals. I would much rather prefer to spend time in a small group than in a busy location.

I'm a 38-year-old divorcee whose current relationship has been going on past the point of impatience. At 38 it sounds silly to say you have a boyfriend. But I wait... I write, write, write, almost at an insane pace, in the hopes that someday I will be rich and famous. Okay, in the hopes that someday someone will pay me to write. Riches and fame are overrated!

Eek! I just got back from vacation and my brain hasn't started working yet. Good thing it was the kids going back to school yesterday and not me.

I lived in the wicked witch's house. Death was damned, but life had crawled under a rock. In my early thirties I lifted the rock, wrote a memoir, wrote a sequel to practice for the first and dreamed of flying with papery butterfly wings; both strong and openly vulnerable.

Okay so that's two lines too long. Jail me :)

Great blog. Thanks for your very kind comments on mine:)

I believe in the inate good of all beings, but have resigned myself to the reality of a world often tethered by deceit. I admire the turn of a phrase higher than the swish of a basket or the glory of a completed pass. I am made-up of words - visceral, warming, unpending words. And though I do not know what the world has in store for me, I know in my heart that there is something more out there for me, if only I am willing to look.

Naps are my all time favorite treat, followed by sweedish fish and homemade ice cream. I love being called mom. I hate whining. Life is not perfect, but it is good and I am blessed.
