Thank You

Okay, so I know I don't normally post on Tuesdays anymore. But yesterday's post was hard-hitting, and emotional, and yeah. Kind of a "moment" for me.

And your kind comments and lengthy responses are worth my weight in gold--and I weigh a lot.

So thank you. I've read them all, and I'm keeping them all in my inbox so I can read them again when I have "one of those days."

Saw today's post and went back to read yesterday's.

*Hugs.*

I know how you feel. :)
Someday it would be cool to sit down and swap stories.

Ok, I saw this and had to go back and catch up on the posts I missed.

First of all, you have changed my life with all you have contributed and shared on this blog . If you completely quit I will be pissed. Not because you owe me but just because I don't want you to go.

Second, if your book gave someone joy for the hours they read it (and it did) then you made a difference. You changed thier life.

Don't ever forget that.

Can I leave a hug too? *hugs Elana*

There is no shame in being a midlist writer. (I know, I can talk, my book isn't even out yet.) But I do know it doesn't mean you aren't important. You are important to us! To all the writers you've mentored and encouraged and to all the people who've read your book.

Over the last few years, you have significantly diminished the level of world suck. On behalf of all of us, thank you.

I'm another one catching up and leaving hugs and huzzahs. I mean, look at what you've accomplished in the last few years. Wow. Double wow. And your book is great and loved by many. The whole mid-list thing is so random anyway. You've been an inspiration and a helping hand to so many. I hope we can give something back when you need it.

As long as you feel better and are out of the funk, that is what matters.

I'm late to the ball but wanted to offer some hugs and mega-props. I think you're amazing. You're talented, inspiring, and real--and if you didn't have some down days, you'd be less "real." :D

Thanks for all the inspiration and hope you've given all writers, myself included. :D

Glad it made you feel better. And thanks for your honesty. Because we all have those other feelings too.

Big hugs - cause I am not a small girl - and bacon. Don't forget the bacon.

By the way, if you have another of those moments, know that lots of us are here and darn it, you're human and are allowed to have those days :-)

Dear Elana,

I don't comment very often (ok, like never) on your blog because I'm insecure and I worry you might think I'm overbearing and freaky.

Yes, I noticed you at the PG library the other day and wanted to say hi, but I figured you were writing a masterpiece so I didn't want to bother you then either.

Anyway, the point is, I think you're fabulous. I've learned a lot about querying and writing and plotting and basically things that will make my book less crappy.

I'm impressed that you laid it on the line yesterday and then you came back today smiling. I think you're golden. I would be sad if you stopped posting or speaking.

I'm gross for gushing at you, but there you have it. You inspire me.

luv, erin

As of often of late, I'm behind. So this is for yesterday. Be the best writer you can be. The rest will follow.

(((hugs))) and rainbows right back dear! I meant every word of it. You rock, and so does Possession, and we're talking epic proportions. The world will agree, I have faith. :)

I also saw today's post and had to go back and read yesterday's. Wow, lovely and honest, Elana! People read and love your book; I think that's the important part--to be READ. I suppose someday I'll be a mid-lister too (I hope). But at least we will have written that book, by golly, and have a readership! ((hugs))
